Indenture
If selected as an apprentice, you will be registered with the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship & Training, and the International Association of Bridge, Structural and Ornamental Iron Workers. There is a one time fee of $100.00 for initiation, $25.00 for the death benefit fund, and $34.00 for one month's Union due's. These fee's will be paid by cash or money order prior to being indentured into the Iron Workers Local Union #22. All new apprentices will be sworn / indentured into the union, at a designated meeting, by the president of the local.
Union Due's
Ironworkers Union Apprentice members are required to pay dues of $34.00 by the 15th of each month. This money is to cover the Union's costs, & entitles you to Union representation.
